WEEKLY SEISMICITY REPORT FOR JUNE 2, 2025 TO JUNE 8, 2025

During the week of June 2, 2025, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 430 earthquakes across the state. The largest was a magnitude 4.9 event that occurred on June 3 at 08:16:57 AKDT (16:16:57 UTC), located 6 miles southwest of Kanaga Volcano. Neither the mainshock nor its 11 recorded aftershocks were reported as felt.

Two earthquakes were reported as felt this week. The most notable was a magnitude 2.5 event located 19 miles southwest of Fairbanks, which received eight felt reports.

Additionally, two ice quakes were recorded near the Columbia Glacier.

Overall, it was a relatively quiet week.
