Joon is a summer technical intern at the Earthquake Center. Joon helps the staff with office work and with sensors around the state. Joon was a member of the center’s Earth Observation Club since 2023. The club in Quinhagak worked on permafrost monitoring, and shared what they did at the 2024 symposium in Anchorage. Joon graduated in May from Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat. He plans to go to college here at UAF, but is still deciding what to study or pursue here. Joon’s hobbies are arts and crafts (crafting mostly) and going on walks. He likes cooking, and grew up cooking at home.
