WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR JUNE 23, 2025 TO JUNE 29, 2025

During the week of June 23, 2025, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 461 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 5.2 that occurred on June 27 at 22:08:24 AKDT (June 28, 06:08:24 UTC), 98 miles S of Nikolski.

This week, a magnitude 3.2 earthquake, 17 miles SW of Skwentna, occurring on June 28, 2025 23:22:46 AKDT, was reported as felt in the areas of Skwentna and Tyonek.

Seismic activity south of False Pass increased this week with over 50 earthquakes in the area, ranging from 1.2 to 3.0 in magnitudes.

There were two icequakes this week in the area of Prince William Sound.
