Celia’s primary duties include installing, repairing, maintaining, and monitoring Alaska Geophysical Network seismic sites statewide. Celia has a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Hawaii, Hilo, where she participated in the ongoing research of the Koa’e Fault System and ground deformation in Volcanoes National Park.  Before joining the Earthquake Center, Celia worked as a geologist, providing geotechnical analysis and recommendations for engineering projects. When Celia is not in the field, she enjoys spending time with her dog, trail running, and cooking.
