Edward Blum is a Master's degree student working with Mike West on techniques for improving signal detection in many different domains, including seismic arrays and Distributed Acoustic Sensing using fiber-optic cables. Ed earned his B.A. in Geoscience, with a concentration in Geophysics and a minor in Mathematics, from UAF.

In his free time, Ed enjoys, hiking, reading, and cooking.
