WEEK SEISMICITY REPORT FOR APRIL 7, 2025 TO APRIL 13, 2025

During the week of April 7, 2025, the Alaska Earthquake Center reported 376 earthquakes within the state. The largest earthquake was magnitude 4.5 that occurred on April 7 at 14:48:14 AKDT (April 7, 22:48:14 UTC), 102 miles S of Bobrof Island.

Another notable event was a magnitude 3.3 earthquake that occurred on April 10, 2025 12:40:38 AKDT, 9 miles SE of Ninilchik. This event was reported as felt in Homer, Soldotna and Sterling.

The swarm activity south of Adak mostly subsided this week, with 6 events reported. 

In addition to the seimic activity, we recorded 2 icequakes in the Prince William Sound.
